The II A MD system
The double-walled, thermally insulated II S MD system is a pressure-tight and fire-resistant exhaust gas system for conducting exhaust gases in the negative pressure area. It can be connected to gas-fired and oil-fired boilers that operate in dry and moist (condensing) conditions.
The double-walled systems are erected on the building's external wall as a rule. A thermal insulating layer of 34 mm mineral wool, which is installed between the inner and outer shells, ensures that the necessary thermal insulation is provided and these systems are therefore classified in the Thermal Insulation Group II.
The direct transition between the thermal insulating layer, which is located between the individual components, prevents cold bridges and hot bridges. The system is manufactured with diameters from 80 mm to 500 mm and it quickly reaches the temperature of the exhaust gases because of the thin-walled inner shell; thereby ensuring a high resistance to draughts.
